Nature for the artist

All artists are asked the question:

– Where do you get your ideas?

The revolutionary artist responds like this:

– I steal them from the rich and give them to the poor

How does an artist view the world?

He decides whether to steal this thing, whether it is a landscape outside the window or an element of another artist's painting, whether it is an excerpt from a book or an event from a dream.

That's it. I don't need more than that.

Looking at the world in this way, the socialist artist removes bourgeois morality. He doesn't think what's good and what's bad. There is only that which is worthy to be shown to the working people in their drawings, or, on the contrary, is unworthy because of the commonplace, obvious or false.

Today, artists can use everything. But not everyone can be useful to him. And if, in the opinion of the Communist party, something is not worth taking today, then tomorrow, in a month or a year it may be quite suitable.

Is there nothing original?

Bourgeois writers, such as Jonathan Lethem, say that if people call something "original", then in nine cases out of ten they simply did not calculate the source of borrowing This is partly true, because people tend to learn and learn about the world. And you – dear artist, actress, writer and other "heads of the nation" are probably not the first in their work.

After all, every person once fell in love, because so much has been written about love. There have been so many wars that there are already thousands of books about them, if not millions. There were also billions of beautiful sunsets and sunrises on earth, and people saw them as soon as they appeared. And as soon as we got to the level where we could draw pictures, we started drawing them. That's why there are hundreds of thousands of sunset pictures.

Every bourgeois artist understands that if you write about something radically new, it may not sell. Therefore, in the creative industry, artists rely on what was created earlier. Almost always they don't have anything original.

These enemies of the working people are right. However, they assume that if you do something new-the result of production will be difficult to sell. We proceed from the benefits for the working people. If we do something new, it may not be of high quality or even harmful, and this is unacceptable.

Moreover, the classics of scientific communism claim that there is nothing in the world that comes from nowhere and goes nowhere. They note that even the appearance of radically new things has prerequisites. Thus, by finding out these prerequisites, we can improve the quality of new things. Thus bringing world communism closer.

Capitalists refer to the Bible:

«…there is nothing new under the sun»

(Ecclesiastes 1:9).

As we can see, the bourgeois capitalists are once again slipping into naked idealism, they represent the world as if it cannot be changed, and it is a given. That is, the norm is the order of things in which all the world's factories and plants, small and large enterprises, cafes and nuclear power plants belong to a group of people who have not managed production themselves for a long time, because all management belongs to managers, Directors, foremen and engineers. At the same time, these same capitalists do nothing but try to preserve this order of things and compete with each other in wealth. Thus, they only cause crises and wars for the world. And if they are replaced with elected workers ' councils headed by the Supreme Soviet, the economy will not collapse.

Socialist art shows all the working people of the planet that the world can be changed. Many aspiring artists may go into Trotskyism from lack of understanding, believing that the world can be changed from today to tomorrow. This is not the case and building communism we need to learn from capitalism.

After all, capitalism is the past. Barbaric and ugly, dirty and bloody. But it is also a time of struggle, of the formation of socialism as the first stage of communism.

Some may find this idea insufficiently revolutionary, but it gives me hope. After all, by learning from the lessons of the past, we can move more confidently into the future.

The religious obscurantist and Trotskyist Andre Gide observed, " everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one heard it, you can say anything again."

This is another type of Trotskyism. He makes the workers and peasants of the whole world look like stupid sheep that walk on the leash of smart people. Such as Stalin, Roosevelt, Hitler, and Churchill. But it's not just about political personalities that he's talking about. And also about art. For him, people are material, living wallets that can eat even shit if it is advertised.

Undoubtedly, this is partly true under capitalism. However, if other artists only painted the world, then it is up to us to change it

Forgetting the disease of childish leftism, you stop trying to create something out of nothing and start learning even from the enemy. As the great Lenin said

«The capitalists themselves will sell us the rope on which we will hang them».

It's the same with art. They will teach us how to draw with a brush that we will stick in their eyes, they will teach us how to sing revolutionary songs, make proletarian movies.

Bourgeois genealogy of ideas

Capitalists reduce everything to allusions to genetics. You have a mother and a father. And you carry their traits, but the sum – that is, you yourself-is greater than the totality of these traits. You are a Remix of your mom, your dad and all your ancestors.

You have your own family tree – your ideas also have one. They don't choose their parents, but they choose their teachers, their friends, the music they listen to, the books they read, and the movies they watch.

This is partly true, but the analogy to genetics is a false analogy. The world of art can really be seen as the ongoing development of some ideas to other ideas. And externally, if you draw it as a table, it really looks like a family tree. So let's draw it.

Idea tree

It turns out pretty good, but let's remember that this is due to allusions to the family tree, so we wanted to do the best, but we got this:

The tree of debauchery and sodomy

Goblin (Dmitry Yuryevich) said: "Kids, don't eat stupid shit." It's the same here. Learn from the bourgeoisie, but don't repeat its mistakes.

Choose your teachers

«Education is a way of development for Russia and for the whole world»

– Roman Barkov, the Russian military, General, the villain.

An artist is a person who shows life and conveys morality through works. His task is to be a good collector of interesting things from life. Artists only take what is truly valuable.

Friedrich Engels wrote that despite the fact that Hegel is cheap and a liar, but he was his teacher. At that time in history, Hegel was one of the best, if not the best, philosophers in the world. And it was he who developed dialectics to the point where it could argue with metaphysics on equal terms in a scientific form. The fact that Hegel was cheap and a liar was due to the fact that he was forced to submit to the Church and show his faith in God. This meant that his dialectic was idealistic. With a belief in miracles like God or freedom. Marx and his friends simply put Hegel's dialectic on a materialistic track.

Thus, based on the science that their enemy wrote, they developed it and turned it upside down. Born dialectical materialism quickly moved from the description of physical and evolutionary processes in the social Sciences, in the struggle of selling and buying labor. This is how communism appeared.

Your job is to find good ideas. It doesn't matter if you find them in nature, history, or other creators. And then-to show them with talent in art or even develop them, thereby becoming an example of imitation by a new teacher for future generations.

Study the idea tree

Joseph Stalin said: "Lenin is my teacher, I am only his faithful disciple." And this is correct. The bloody veteran studied the works of Lenin in the pre-revolutionary years, he read and distributed Marxist atheist Newspapers in the Church school where he studied, and then among the workers of Baku. Reading various articles, it was clear to him that the great Lenin was the most truthful and accurate of all socialists

Studying his articles, even starting to write his own, Stalin started a correspondence with Lenin. Then there was the world imperialist war, revolution, capitalist revolt, civil war, and intervention. Stalin commanded the defense of the city of Tsaritsyn and personally took part in the battles.

Stalin was friends with Lenin, considered him an outstanding political figure, economic theorist and the greatest leader of the peoples, under whose leadership the new Soviet Russia fought the whole world and emerged victorious in this war.

In the field of art, you can do everything like Stalin. See how other artists draw, how other writers write, their books. Find the best among them, find the most truthful, logical and talented among them.

And then-study him, his biography, his contribution to science and art, his participation in significant world events, be it the world war, the revolutions of the 20s, the struggle of peoples against fascism and colonialism, as well as the collapse of the USSR.

Find out all about it. Then find out all about his teachers. Climb as high as possible on the tree of ideas. Find out who he studied, which artists he liked, and why. If he is still alive-meet him, become his friend.

It is important to understand that you are also part of the idea tree. When you achieve something, they will look at you as a landmark. When you realize that you are part of a creative line, you feel less alone in creating something of your own. For example, I hung a poster in my room with Zh-12, the hero of Russia. It's like a good spirit among the Gentiles. Leaning over my Desk, I can almost feel the hero of Russia pushing me forward.

Great people who are already dead or just live very far away will not mind if you learn from them. Learn whatever you want. They left all the curricula to us in their works.

And if they do, we Communists don't recognize copyright. And if today you are fined by a copywriter, then tomorrow they will be exiled to the GULAG in a car with the inscription "Bread". Punish for nothing, as you like it.

The same armored train with virgin girls

The inscription: "Hleb" (bread) is used to transport the repressed

Learn

«Learn, learn, and learn again.»

– Vladimir Ulyanov Lenin, the Soviet leader, a Gerrnan spy, a mushroom.

You're inside, and the University is outside. Learn for knowledge and learn for reference there are two different educations. You are studying for a piece of paper and you only need to pass the subject. You learn for the sake of knowledge and you need to get it.

Under capitalism, education is paid and not everyone has the luxury of knowledge. Under socialism, the educational system is free. Therefore, you need to be curious about the world in which you live.

Delve into the science you need, so that you will be ahead, and the capitalists in the Gulag.

Google everything you can. Yes, I mean exactly "everything". Google your problems, Google your dreams. Google and ask others. As a result, you will either find the answer yourself, or better formulate your question.

Read constantly. You don't have to go to the library and have paper books. A person surrounded by the Internet will always find where to buy with a 100% discount. Download entire libraries and remember Kennedy's words that the Soviet Union won the space race sitting at a Desk and studying. The knowledge inside the book outside.

Collect books, even if you don't plan to read them right away. As Director John waters said, " nothing is more important than an unread library."

And remember that knowing where to look – you will always find.

Art

for

wor

king

people

As a Communist, you must serve the working people. And it also requires art. And if the bourgeoisie deliberately throws dirt at the people so that people are dirty and consider it normal, then we have a different goal.

Our task is to educate people of creativity, people of conscience and work, heroic and intelligent people. The capitalists have the same goal, but not for the people, but for themselves. Within themselves, they are interested in creating the best capitalists, such as their children or small entrepreneurs.

Therefore, in the world of capitalists, art is divided into art for the education of sellers of labor, moreover cheap and skilled, and art for the education of the creators of capitalism. Our task is also to educate creators from people. Only of all people.

It is easier to draw a diagram.

This is why we need to learn at the same time from degenerate works that are popular among the people and from a narrow, really good line of works for the education of the capitalists themselves.

Our task is to take the best of their capitalist, feudal, and slave-owning formation and develop it. So it turns out that we love General Lee, but we are anti – slavery, we tell stories about brave knights, although we know that in reality they are the enemies of the people.

Our task is to find what makes popular anti-national films, pictures, and so on popular, and then use it for your own purposes. Our task is also to make our works make the best people, heroic and smart. At the same time, it is necessary to capture the hearts and minds of citizens.

Therefore, it is worth taking beauty and clarity, rigor and logic from popular works, and putting a strong creative message in them.

The question arises-how to do this. The answer is obvious. The most important thing is to study books, even go to lectures in bourgeois universities, and it does not matter – as a student, a free listener, or a listener in a video recording. You also need to take into account the Soviet experience.

It is also worth isolating all the good things from the works of capitalists, memorizing them, and trying to create something similar and better. You can even create a separate folder for "good ideas". Bourgeois reporters call such a folder "mortuary" – and I like that name. Your mortuary folder is where you keep the "dead" that you will bring back to life later, in your own works.

Not "do what", but "How do»

If I didn't decide to "start drawing" until I figured out what I want to draw, who I am, and why I live, I would still be doing self-digging, not business. I know from my own experience that a person is known in his work, his earning a living.

You are already ready, don't ask yourself "what should I do?". There is a problem in the world – capitalism, and even when we win it, there will be all sorts of interesting stuff like limited resources, aging and death. So solve one of these problems. Your task is not to think what to solve, but to think how to solve it. That is, not "do what", but "what to do with it", that is, how to solve this problem.

Maybe you're scared to start. It happens. This is a defense mechanism developed by humans so that they do not touch any new things unnecessarily. For example, they didn't jump on rocks or touch any snakes. Well, here you need to understand that it is difficult for everyone to get used to it, only the help of your friends will help you here.

As one partisangirl said

"Оne smile from a comrade removes all fear and fatigue"

Happy summer in a labor camp Superov (SUPERLAG) in Kolyma

Let it be just a game at first

«It's the devil's toy, YesDJi!»

– Kama Bullet, candidate for master of sports

Bourgeois capitalists offer their artists to play artists until they become them. Reading this in Russian – I didn't have any questions. After all, playing like football, not playing professionally, playing poorly, having fun-this is good and normal. But our favorite enemies of the people want us to play like actors in the theater.

And it's funny.

1. pretend to be someone you are not; copy until you are successful, until people see you as you want to be; or

2. Pretend to do something until you actually do it.

They are satisfied with both interpretations – you need to perform a ritual, dress in the artist's textures (and where do they sell these?) and after the ceremony, everything will be very cool.

Enemies of the people are inspired by the book "Just Kids" by singer Patti Smith. This is the story of two friends who aspired to become artists and came to new York for this purpose. They pretended to be artists. In the strangest scene, Patti Smith and her friend, photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, dressed up in all their Bohemian Gypsy outfits and went to Washington square Park, a popular walking spot. Their appearance attracted the attention of an elderly couple of tourists. The wife told her husband: "Let's take a picture of them. I think they are artists." "'No, come on, they're just little dibs, '" her husband said. Let's put aside these funny nonsense of capitalists. They have an even funnier nonsense where everyone can get rich just by working hard.

However, you can play as well as play airsoft, volleyball, and so on. What I want to say: "Creative work is also a kind of game." In your case, the arena for the game is your audience, friends, in the society of artists or on the Internet, they all look at your work and see the beauty. And you look at their faces with a satisfied face and feel like a master.

And here is the most important thing. Playing in humans and in all animals is a training exercise. Only in humans is this a means to lose time and can bend the back to scoliosis. The same airsoft – you did not die, but took off your nerves, and ran with armor and a Kalash. Everything is very cool.

Or all sorts of catch-up in childhood – this is a warm-up of the body, a jog. The bottom line is that you can't run away from a tiger and a bullet, but you can run away from a ball and your peers.

Most importantly-running from a bullet – the price of a mistake is death. And if you are hit by a ball-you need to go to respawn. Plus the game is cheaper.

It's the same here. You're an aspiring artist. Draw whatever you can, just whatever you want. Play. No one will judge you, and if you succeed, everyone will praise you. Play and have fun. Maybe you'll start drawing seriously. You can also play there, but not in pairs in an artist's shop or in paintings for sale, of course.

Play until you realize that it's so cool that you're ready to do it all your life.

Learn by repeating

People are born simple beings, a resource, if you will. And from this resource at the "factory", that is, kindergarten, school, army and University, they are already making citizens. Children repeat after their parents, teachers, and older children.

When we say repetition, we are talking about practice. This is not plagiarism, if it is not an attempt to pass off someone else's work as your own. You learned to write by copying the alphabet. Musicians learn by playing scales. Artists learn by copying masterpieces of painting.

Capitalists suggest putting the question like this: "we need to decide who to copy. And then what.". Well, it is immediately clear what the bourgeois capitalists will tell us next. Copy who you like, and copy what you like from him.

That's great advice, I'll just clap and then go wash my hands of it.

We understand, of course, that you pendos have a very bad education. But even in bourgeois times we have art schools for school children and art schools. In most cases, they are free. They all have textbooks on painting and so on. And comrades from the Northern pirate fleet have long been selling them on torrents at a 100% discount.

So we Communists can only advise you to study exactly what you need in specialized courses, whether they are courses on the Internet or textbooks.

And only having already frolicked to the minimum level is worth imitating someone.

And not to someone as a person, but to the direction, type, or even tradition of art.

Steal like Communist

Gary Panter's animator said: "If you were influenced by one person, everyone will say that you are a follower. But try to Rob a hundred people, and you will be called an original!". The bourgeois intelligentsia sells art, and therefore considers itself the leader of opinions. However, her role in society is a political prostitute who tries to earn money. That's why they steal successful ideas, because their idea is profit. And even if they have their own ideas, they suppress them or distort them for profit.

Our business is to convey ideas, use pictures, films and songs as bombs and shells. Therefore, if we copy the enemy's art, we do not hide it. On the contrary, we directly tell the author that some things in his work came out great, but he did not disclose them or made mistakes. Or we can do the same, only better. And let the capitalist pig explode with anger, but we do not accept copyright in the capitalist sense. That's why he won't get any money from us.

We socialists need to take elite art away from the enemies of the people. In the beginning, we will only steal. It seems from a moral point of view bad. But the capitalists also steal surplus value from the people. They also stole from us – all this social agenda like SJW, and even earlier all sorts of Narodniks and social Democrats-all of them are just an attempt to create manual Communists. Moreover, they have created their own trade unions and even their own "Communist" parties, which only serve capital. Regarding art, most of the art is created by the people, by ordinary people. And only a small part was created by the tame dogs of the capitalists – all sorts of greedy intellectuals.

«Therefore, we will take what is rightfully ours. We will get rid of the dictatorship of profit, the censorship of the rich. We will give the people a voice and present it to the world. People are aware of the power of their own voice and thoughts.»

– Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky, civil war film Director

After some time, we will create our own heroes, artists, singers and others, they will be stronger and more talented than all the existing people of art who lived under capitalism. In the meantime, we need the expropriation of art, its socialization. There is nothing wrong with studying and repeating other people's work. But it's one thing to learn and do new things, or develop the old, or show the old better by removing mistakes and taking the best frame with the best image quality. And another thing is to remove the bourgeois remakes with removesthe that everyone hates. Just learning to take the good and do not repeat the mistakes of our opponents.

10 rules of revolutionary creativity

Oleg Kleonov

Oleg Kleonov is an artist and poet, author of the collection "newspaper Pravda in our days", "departure of darkness", "proletarian poem". In January 2020, in his blog, he formulated the rules of revolutionary creativity, which instantly made him famous. Labor & drawing translated this Manifesto about life, work, the Internet, communication, and creativity.

The protests in America that we deserve

1. Steal like Communist

Every artist has to answer the question of where they get their ideas from. The revolutionary artist will reply :" I steal them from the rich and give them to the poor." That's all there is to say about it.

Nothing comes out of nowhere and nothing goes anywhere. This means that there are prerequisites for everything, and our task is to develop what is available with talent.

Everything has prerequisites. This was stated in Lenin:

"The prerequisites for the revolution in Russia were the global crisis of capitalism. Our revolution is a prerequisite for the world domination of communism on the entire planet"

(PSS, volume 13, page 666).

Any new project mixes elements of old ideas or just changes one of them. Art schools always show one trick. Draw two parallel lines on a piece of paper:

How many lines are there in the drawing? The first line is visible, the second, but there is also a dark line between them. See? 1 + 1 = 3.

An artist is a collector. Not a speculator, not a dirty merchant who collects everything indiscriminately for profit, but a collector-who purposefully collects only those things that he really loves.

Capitalists say: "Garbage at the entrance – garbage at the exit". This is true, but not always. For example, there is recycling of garbage and waste. From a capitalist trash cheap movie to a more acceptable socialist film of the genre "science fiction trash Thriller with elements of social fiction".

Our task is to learn from the mistakes of capitalists, from their ideas and experience. The best way to do this is to read. Read, read, read, read, read. Textbooks, articles, pictures, diagrams. The more you read, the wider the choice of what will affect you.

Nothing prevents to imitate the bourgeois writers. Look at his works, find out what he read. And read it all. Get to the best in the logical chain that was driven by the Creator when creating his work.

Steal ideas and save them for the future. Carry a notebook everywhere. Write in books. Rip pages out of magazines and create collages from them in your sketchbook. Steal like an artist a Communist.

2. You are what you do

This was stated by Che Guevara in his book " Revolution on a motorcycle»:

«Yesterday's orphans are now our soldiers. They grew up without fathers, so they found them on the streets, in history. To some extent, this was a gift for us, because they saw all the horrors of capitalism.

In fact, a person is what they let into their life. You are the sum of what affects you. As Marx said, "we are created and shaped by what we love, what we hope for, and what we sincerely desire"

They had to choose the role models that children usually find in their parents. Cruelty filled their ideas about the ideal world that we were going to build for everyone…».

Last year, there was a video on the Internet of a Korean artist-designer who was responsible for the design of the stadium in the city of Pyongyang and its decoration during the state holiday of sports.

Speaking about creativity, she said exactly what allows so many people to postpone their projects: "If you don't know who you are and what you live for or what you believe in, then you don't live, you exist. Your life has no meaning, and you are not valued by yourself, your neighbors, or the state."

If I had been waiting to understand "who I am" and "who we are", I would not have been" creative", I would still be sitting around trying to find myself, instead of just starting to do something. I know from experience that it is in the process of work that we understand who we are.

You're ready. Start working.

Maybe you're scared. This is a biological mechanism, the same is in technology. It's called "protection against the fool". TV-type equipment is specially designed so that a stupid person does not break it. It's the same with you. You are deliberately afraid to do something strange, because nature does not know whether you are a fool or not. That's why the defense mechanism sends out fear so that you think 10 times before doing something strange, new, and potentially dangerous.

Confidence in success and a clear plan can overcome fear. Help from your friends will give you more courage. But there is another way.

Namely, the game. Let drawing be like football or chess for you. You draw, it may be bad, it may be weak. But no one will judge you. And you like it, you're having fun. What if you do something right? And then everyone will praise you.

Patti Smith's book "Just kids" is indicative. This is the story of how two friends came to new York to learn how to draw as professional artists.

Faced with the horrors of capitalism, mob violence, lynching of blacks, unemployment and starvation, they still tried to change the world for the better through their drawings. Do you know how they did it? They behaved like artists. The humorous moment of the book – Patty and her friend, dressed as tramps, went to Washington Square, where there are always a lot of people. One old lady stared at them and said to her husband: "Take a picture of them. I think they are artists." "No – "he said, shaking his head," they're just little dweebs."

The whole world is a field for experiments. For creativity, you also need a laboratory, a suit, and knowledge. The lab is your workspace. It can be a Studio, a Desk, or a sketchbook. A suit is your work clothes – special pants that make you feel comfortable, house Slippers that you write in, or that funny hat that inspires you. And knowledge is power. Time is also important. An hour here, an hour there.

Play until you love it so much that you are ready to give years of your life to this cause.

3. Write a book that you want to read

I'll tell you a short story. In 2013, like many modern Communists, I was a conservative and patriot of my country. I have read many books on the topic of Russia's war with America. I even wanted to write my own book about how Crimea and Eastern Ukraine became part of Russia. And then there was a coup d'etat in Ukraine and something happened that I wanted to write in my book.

The moral of the story is this. It's better to write your own book. And even better, write it in real life, making yourself the main character, performing feats.

An aspiring socialist writer always wonders what he should write about. The Trotskyists tell him: "Write about what you like." The result is often a horror story where nothing interesting happens. Trotskyists are shot, and people are repressed.

Therefore, the best advice is not to write about what you like, but to write about what you should. Write a story that will help you deal with capitalism, hunger, and injustice. We are engaged in creativity, because it helps both the Creator and every good person to live. All fiction is, in fact, advice for people how to live.

The best way to decide what to do is to think about what you should do as a parent to a child, as a relative to a relative, as a soldier to a fellow soldier. Create a picture, looking at which a person will be ashamed of cowardice, hate laziness, respect heroes, glorify science.

In art, comrade, you must love your work. And every picture that you draw should want to see as a spectator, every article should want to read as a reader, every movie should be watched and every song should be listened to.

If what you need to draw and what you want – diverge, it's a disaster. And the trouble is not in the world, but in you. You must love not what you don't need, but what you need. What you like should be useful to you and the working people.

4. Automate automation

It's no secret that the process of writing an article in a notebook and in a computer is very different. Indeed, when we write in Word, we have little time to think about it and there is no opportunity to draw something in the margins, a sort of diagram. Moreover, the text written with a pen in a notebook cannot be erased or removed. This disciplines the writer.

However, computers are needed. We need automation, we need technology. Conservative capitalists believe that Microsoft Word is their enemy. I use it all the time at work, so I save my time.

It's the same with drawing. You can draw on paper, then take photos. But why? This has its own charm, but for most jobs, it's better to draw on a graphics tablet. In addition, digital paints are free and available to the user in infinite quantities.

The main thing in the use of technology = the ability to automate part of the artist's work. The computer draws smoother lines and allows you to calculate their trajectory using formulas. I'm not talking about animation, where you need to draw frame-by-frame. Since this is death, and guaranteed.

5. At least a little-know everything

To know everything in the world is unrealistic, but I cherish my dream solved the problem brilliantly. I connect Galileo, Galileo, Galileo, GalileOoo, Galileo.

It is not necessary to know everything in detail, but it is very good when a person roughly understands how different things work in the world. Because he can use knowledge as an example as an analogy.

In art, this is especially important, since an artist needs to take ideas, analogies, and use allusions and hints. And this requires knowledge about different things from different topics.

And in order not to be a laughing stock-you need to consult with specialists. And in order to know what you need to ask – you need to roughly understand the question.

This way you save a lot of brain resources. At the same time, you get access to a huge amount of knowledge. And you should use the released computing resources to analyze and use the available information. For the benefit of the working people and world happiness-communism.

6. Formula for winning: normally do – normally will be

I get a lot of emails from young artists who ask how they can find their audience. "How do I get someone to open me up?"

I understand them very well. After graduating from military school, I had a similar question. The classroom is a beautiful, if artificial, place to work. Teachers are paid to take care of you, and your friends are interested in your development. Never in your life will you have such attentive viewers as teachers and friends.

However, you will soon learn that the world as a whole does not care about your ideas. No one wants your stories, your scribbles on canvas, your screams to music, and so on. It sounds harsh, but it is.

As Stepan Presnukhin said, "this does not mean that people are uneducated or cruel, they just sell their labor force and therefore they do not have time for your creativity." If there was a secret formula for enslaving the audience, I would use it to stop wars and build communism. But I know only one is not really the original formula, "I do – will be fine".

This process takes place in 2 stages:

Step 1: "do the project Normally" – it is incredibly difficult to make sure that there are no mistakes. But this is where masteroff's skill lies.

Practice your idea every day. Fail, do better and better with each new time.

Step 2: "it will be Fine, some will see and tell others" – it was difficult to spread the information 10 years ago. Now everything is very simple – "put the project on the Internet". And if it's good, everyone will see it and tell others.

7. Geography is not necessary

I grew up in a Gulag, in the middle of the hills and Arctic desert of the Murmansk District. When I was a child, the only thing I wanted was to get into the friendly company of bear artists. I wanted to be free of the polar night, to go South from the damned hell and find myself somewhere where there is at least something beautiful.

Ruins of plant No. 1937 in Severogorsk

Now I live in St. Petersburg. Overall, a cool place. There are a lot of military personnel, programmers, artists, animators and other creative people everywhere.

And you know what? 90% of my mentors and colleagues do not live in St. Petersburg. They live on the Internet. Most of my projects, conversations, and creative acquaintances take place online. Instead of real communication in art studios, I made friends in Vkontakte (Rus fasebook that better fasebook) and discord.

I am happy that I was born in Russia, where there was communism and even when it was destroyed, there were huge remnants of it in my country. Life is not random, but fate is not. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Native Gulag is the dearest of all

8. Work brothers (the world is big factory)

I will say this briefly. That's the only reason I'm here – to build communism.

Colonel Kurtz put it much better:

«I only know one rule: you have to be angry, damn it. You need to work. The Bible says, am I my brother's Keeper? Definitely Yes.

You need to be correct and consistent in everyday life – this will allow you to be passionate in our difficult and dangerous business».

I'm a boring guy who works from 9 to 17 and lives in an industrial residential area with my wife and kids.

This whole capitalist image of an artist who uses drugs, loafs around, makes jokes, fights, even though it's all the same – it's completely made up. Of course there are such characters. But mostly they are the children of the bourgeoisie, who were enriched by colonization, slavery, and both world wars. This means that their wealth is spilled human blood. So their kids go crazy. They have money and a genuine hatred of people.

Therefore, this way of life wants to die young. The truth is that art requires a lot of energy. And there will be no energy if you spend it on other things.

Here are some tips that have benefited me personally:

Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Family is very important.

Don't just drink coffee. Only when you really need it

Start the day like in the army. Have Breakfast, do 30 push-UPS and 10 pull-UPS, sleep normally, 8 hours minimum. A healthy body has a healthy mind.

If you are a girl, at least do exercises. And remember that your skeleton will not be taken as an Archer because of scoliosis. And you will be skeletal infantry. No one needs consumables.

Don't cry don't be afraid don't ask.

Live simply. You don't need to save on every penny, but you don't need to spend money on any nonsense. Freedom from financial stress means freedom in art.

Divide the process of your life into 5 types of activities.

Necessary. At this time, you sleep, eat, and so on.

the Main work. Draw, work in a factory, or whatever your main job is that gives you a living.

Your work. Do what you like. And you should like what you and the working people need. Draw, sing, and so on.

Mental and physical development.

This is different. Various events, emergencies, and so on.

And then note the important thing. You won't get away from your main job. Whether you want to or not, you can't skip a shift at the factory, otherwise you'll go to the Gulag in Kolyma. The same goes for events. You certainly don't have to go to the wedding of a second cousin, but it is better not to do it.

But when you draw and nothing comes to mind, you can change the type of activity. Go to the gym or read a book. Or get some sleep.

In Soviet rush there is a saying "morning is wiser than evening"

And most important. DRAW DIAGRAMS, take notes

Diagrams, pictures and illustrations are the basis for a creative understanding of the subject. Not only do you know formally how to do it, but you can also visually show and explain it to others

Instead of learning it from a dry text – I drew it and now I'm happy.

9. Image as a bullet, the song is like a grenade

During the great Patriotic war, many artists went to the front. Many musicians, actors, and scientists also became soldiers. But not all of them.

There was a heavy war, soldiers were killed, the fascist gang plundered Soviet Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltic States. The Motherland needed men to protect women, the elderly, and children. But not just soldiers. The same artists never ceased to be needed.

Many art people wanted to go to the front. But their homeland did not let them go. The poster, song, film, and verse were needed by soldiers at the front and civilians in the rear. And it's one thing to write poems and songs of front-line soldiers that could be written, read and sung right in the trenches. Films and posters are another matter.

Agitation and propaganda are also weapons. This was the case before the creation of nuclear weapons. After its creation and use by the Americans on peaceful cities in Japan, information weapons became the most important weapon after nuclear weapons.

Unfortunately the capitalists have won in the information race. However much is changing now and the Communists are again popular with young people

10. Art is selection.

The amount of time in the movie is limited. The number of words and time of the song is limited. The artist has a limited amount of space on the canvas.

Question. Whether to show unnecessary things that do not develop the plot, do not move motivation, or reflect historical events. It doesn't matter in a book or a song, in a movie or a picture. Answer. Of course not.

Art consists in taking what is necessary from life, showing what is important, paying attention to problems, teaching good things, and warning against mistakes.
